After several delays due to water damage and fire safety adjustments, the time has finally come: Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier opened on April 8. The modern complex in Hafencity brings living, working and leisure together in one place – and demand is huge: 94% of the space for stores, restaurants, entertainment and culture has already been taken.
But it’s not just shopping fans who will get their money’s worth – the world of advertising is also getting a whole new stage here! The quarter relies on state-of-the-art digital out-of-home (DooH) advertising and has an impressive network of 64 high-resolution screens on 32 indoor totems as well as several XXL LED screens with a surface area of up to 70 square meters. Anyone who advertises here is guaranteed maximum attention.
The brains behind the advertising network
The screens are operated by Ocean Outdoor Germany, which works together with the shopping giant Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield across Europe. Marketing is handled by Eisbach Media, which has established itself as a strong player in the DooH sector.
And where are the screens located? Exactly where there is the most activity – at the main entrances, along the main walkways and at central meeting points. A special highlight: “The Kitchen Domination” – a premium advertising space in the middle of the food area and right next to the cinema, complemented by creative branding opportunities on stairs, escalators and walls.
But that’s not all: in addition to the digital advertising spaces, there are also classic promotional spaces for sampling, events and interactive experiences. With a whopping 16.2 million visitors per year, Überseequartier will be one of the most exciting advertising platforms in Germany!
